The sculptures created by Yamaguchi Kyosho are full of originality, yet also have a familiar feel to them.

The human face has an indescribable expression, and depending on the viewer it can appear to be either a child or an adult.

The origin of his imagination was a lie his mother told him when he was a child.

The message was something like, "A creature with a human face and a bird's body was on the balcony."

Without giving up on his imagination, he continued to draw, which led to a unique development and evolution.

The sense of color is also excellent, and the body made of colorful faux fur is also eye-catching.

He is also conducting research into human faces, deepening his knowledge in a wide range of fields, from painting, sculpture, film, animation, and manga, and analyzing the characteristics of his own works.

What is particularly noteworthy is that it uses faux fur, a material created through advances in textile technology, and the human face, with its almost archaic smile, does not allow any fixed emotion to be displayed.

Yamaguchi's work, constructed on multiple levels, will leave a different impression on each viewer.

While influenced by film, he creates his works with a unique approach, and the variety of his work is wide-ranging. This exhibition will give us hope for his future developments and leaps forward.
